The Overlapping Issues of Health and Housing
This report for the California Department of Public Health’s California Breathing asthma program provides information and statewide data on asthma and housing. The report is aimed at advocates and policymakers. (Principal Designer Lauren Wohl-Sanchez worked on this project under Impact Assessment, Inc., a contractor to the State of California.)
Berkeley Public Library Annual Reports
Lauren Wohl Design produced the Library’s annual reports from 2007-2014, taking each report from concept and content development through production. Designed with the Library’s tight budget in mind, we kept to an economical 17 x 11 size. The covers reflect the Library’s overarching direction for that year. And check out the BookVan autowrap we designed, on the inside spread of the 2010 Report (in the slideshow). In 2012, the Library shifted to digital reports. California Breast Cancer Mapping Project
This report for the California Environmental Health Tracking Program of the California Department of Public Health’s Environmental Health Investigations Branch summarizes data from the California Breast Cancer Mapping Project. The study looked at breast cancer incidence across California by region, identifying areas of concern. In addition to design, we provided editorial assistance to assure consistency. (Principal Designer Lauren Wohl-Sanchez worked on this project under Impact Assessment, Inc., a contractor to the State of California.)
Shaping Our Legacy: Reproductive Health and the Environment
This report for UCSF Department of Reproduction and the Environment provides an overview of the science presented at the Summit on Environmental Challenges to Reproductive Health and Fertility. The laser-cut molecules on the cover are chemicals of concern. We created the illustration on the first page and used elements of that illustration throughout the report.
Childhood Cancer in California, 1988-1994
This report for the California Cancer Registry provides information about the types of cancers the registry tracks and summarizes cancer data for the years 1988 through 1994. We used photos of children’s hands for imagery, to avoid the heart wrenching images of children with cancer. The outer vellum cover wrap reveals our single subtle image of a child in a pediatric hospital gown.
Neighborhood Libraries Capital Campaign Report
This report for the Berkeley Public Library Foundation is a transition piece, based off the design elements we developed for the Campaign, but shifting toward a new palette and style for the upcoming capital campaign. The report includes information about how Campaign funds were utilized and features our photos, taken at the renovated and rebuilt Branch libraries.

This report for the California Environmental Health Tracking Program summarizes pesticide use data by county, providing valuable information for advocates, policymakers, and researchers about pesticide use and proximity to public schools, as well as information about the chemicals of concern used in pesticides.
